“I when elected Taoiseach, entered a covenant
with the Irish people. To tell them the truth, no matter how painful or
difficult that truth might be.”
And so it was as the people looked up to the
mountain in hope when the newly elected
messiah spoke. This was Enda Kenny’s finest hour.
For the people that elected him, it was the
start of a nightmare. What went wrong is too much of an admission for a Prime
Minister that is almost invisible to the electorate in general; and a telfon
Taoiseach he is not. Where did it all go right is more the question that needs
to be asked, yet the citizen has delivered the answer, which as yet, no one
understands in the present government or the media pundits trying to explain
the message, that is dumbed down back to us to understand even though we are
the ones that sent it.
The sharing as equals a debt not of our making
or consent is one thing that many had allowed themselves to labour under, but
what kept it going at all was the perception, that at the very least, would be
equally shared. This is when Enda forgot the script of the covenant that he
probably never read anyway. He remains the invisible, silent, minister so he
may be thought to have backbone and character, rather than be seen opening
his mouth and thus removing all doubt of what he is really about: A milksop that just talks to mirrors.
The Bank debt has never been accepted by the
people of this land, and more so for those that caused it still pontificate
behind obscene pensions that is layered with cushions of unaccountability. It
is that and not a perception any longer that nothing has changed in
Government only the faces; it is now a painful reality. People are mad and
madder than hell. They cannot take it anymore and these are the people only in the front
line of what I am talking about. In the trenches and out of view are the people
with disabilities, the children in growing numbers in the same class with less
teachers, the harsh terms of trying to qualify for a medical card, and then the
Police state in case we thought it was any other.
There was one law for the unconnected and none
for the connected presided by an overseer of justice called Alan Shatter of such
breath taking arrogance that he could not tell the difference. Law and order
was dead in the water and so is this government. Tick- tock and it had all
started with that covenant that can only be measured by Shatters outright lies.
Let us look at that covenant more closely:
immediately on taking office, members of all parties doubled their salaries
with Kenny still being paid higher than most Prime Ministers of the free world
that includes the President of the United States. Useless quango’s for the
connected while charities that receive 80% of its funding from the taxpayer put
90% of it into their own pockets. And it would take too long on this letter to
show you how the people were really shafted on the bank debt after our natural
resources have long since been sold off; not to the highest bidder, but to
those on the inside track with easy access to stuffed brown envelopes.
Like the Bank debt, we had signed up to the covenant of Enda Kenny without being allowed to read the small print, that in essence gave the
pot of gold away for a few pieces of silver to line the deep pockets of a few men and women whose physical bodies would not fill the living space of a small bedroom.
